PROFESSIONAL ROOF CLEANING SERVICE USING LOW PRESSURE

=

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

WHAT IS OUR APPROACH?

The moss is washed off the tile using our telescopic power pole fitted with a 8"inch flat surface cleaner which gently washes the tile and removes the layer of dirt from the tile for a instant clean.

We empty all the gutters and downpipes so there is no remaining moss or debris so the gutters can flow freely. And to finish we clean down the gutters and UVPC.

Finally we spray the roof with a biocide which soaks into the tile or slate killing algae, fungi and bacteria. This biocide will continue to work on your roof for up to 12 months cleaning and help restoring your roofs original colour.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will be amazed at the difference immediately and even more so as time goes by.

The precise method employed to clean your roof will be determined by the survey and your objective in cleaning the roof. Depending on the method employed – the natural colour of your tiles will be revived immediately or over time (6 – 12 months) and this will be explained prior to agreeing the works. After the tiles have been cleaned – your gutters will be emptied, windows will be cleaned and the surrounding area restored to the pre work condition. The only evidence of our being there will be a clean roof and no moss!

We include a specialist biocide treatment with every roof clean!

This treatment will further improve the condition of your roof over the coming year and hinder further organic growth from occurring for up to 24 months depending on your environment.

We recommend a regular treatment every 18-24 months to help maintain your roof in good condition without the need for more aggressive cleaning regimes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LEAVE MOSS ON YOUR ROOF?

When moss grows abundantly, it becomes a heavy blanket on top of your roof that retains water and moisture and leads to rot, bacteria, and mould growth. This growth can shorten your roof's lifespan significantly.

IS MOSS GROWING ON SHINGLES BAD?

No matter whether you have cedar shakes, tiles, or composite shingles, moss is bad for your roof! As it grows it can push under shingles, tiles, and shakes, pushing them up and creating damage to your roof. Leaks – The damage to your roof caused by moss growth can lead to holes, thin spots, and eventually leaks.
